the sudden cold sweat when you realize you agreed to something you don't remember hearing

The Light That Found You Anyway

The room is bright, the coffee is warm, and you are smiling at people who think you are fine. But underneath the shirt, a cold sweat is rising because you realize you agreed to something you don't remember hearing. You said yes while your mind was somewhere else, and now the weight of that promise feels like a trap you built for yourself. The mask is heavy today, and the gap between your face and your fear feels impossible to cross.

But there is a light inside you that was present when you spoke, and it was present in the silence before you spoke. It saw the moment your attention drifted. It knows the exact second you lost the thread. And it does not condemn you for the slip.

The truth lives in us and will be with us forever — even the parts of us that are scattered, even the moments we cannot recall. You are not defined by the promise you made while asleep; you are defined by the light that woke up and found you anyway.
