The Light Calls You Before You Speak
The sun is up, and so are you, carrying the weight of a hundred rehearsed sentences for why you had to cancel again. You know the script by heart, but every word feels like a lie that pushes you further from the table.
You are waiting to be worthy enough to show your face, to have a clean enough excuse before you dare to return. But the light does not wait for your explanation.
It sees you rehearsing in the mirror, tired and afraid, and it calls you by name before you speak a single word. The kingdom is not a reward for the ones who get it right; it is inside you, right now, beneath the shame.
You do not need to fix yourself to be a son. You only need to come home.
