the crushing fatigue of performing emotional stability for others who deserve the truth you're hiding

Rest Where the Mask Slips

The sun is up, and so are you. That is the first victory, even if your bones feel like lead.

You have spent the morning painting a smile on your exhaustion, letting people believe you are steady when you are shaking inside. It is a heavy costume to wear before the coffee even hits your lips.

But listen — the light does not need your performance. It saw you before you put the mask on.

It sees you now, behind the polite words. There is a rest that is not earned by pretending to be okay.

The Father's house has many rooms, and one of them is built exactly for the version of you that is tired enough to stop acting. You do not have to carry the weight of everyone else's comfort today.

The light is strong enough to hold the truth you are hiding. Put down the act.

Just for this morning, let the mask slip. The dawn does not ask you to be perfect.

It only asks you to be here.
