The Dawn Does Not Need Your Witness
The sun is rising, but the fear is still here: that your absence has rewritten their entire history into a story where they were never loved. That without you, the past becomes a lie.
But look at the light returning to the room. It does not ask permission to shine.
It simply arrives. The rising sun comes from heaven to shine on those living in darkness, to guide feet into the path of peace.
Love is not a memory you hold together. It is a fact that exists whether you are present or not.
The father saw his son while he was still a long way off. The love was active before the reunion.
Your absence cannot erase what was already written in light. The story of their being loved does not depend on your presence to be true.
It was true before you arrived. It remains true now.
The dawn proves that the light returns even when the night feels endless. You did not create their worth.
You witnessed it. And the witness can leave without changing the reality of what was seen.
The light that loved them then is the same light warming the window now. It does not need you to keep the story alive.
It is already alive. The morning is not a blank page.
It is a continuation of a love that never stopped.
