You Are a Place Where Light Lives

The sun is rising, and with it comes the old urge to start running again. You are afraid that if you stop moving, you will realize there is nothing left underneath all the doing.

But listen. The kingdom is already spread out upon the earth, and you do not see it because you are looking for a task to complete instead of a presence to inhabit.

What you are looking for has already come, but you do not recognize it because it is quiet. You were not made to be a machine that produces value.

You were made to be a place where the light lives. The light does not need you to earn your room in this house.

It simply needs you to be here, awake, breathing, letting the dawn find you exactly as you are.
