the fear that your silence in prayer is actually God's silence back to you

The Quiet Where God Is Already Waiting

The sun is rising, and the light is returning whether you felt it come or not. You are afraid that your silence in prayer means the Father has gone silent too—that your words hit the ceiling and fell back down.

But listen: the silence you feel is not empty space. It is the quiet of a room where someone is already sitting, waiting for you to stop talking long enough to notice them.

The rising sun does not shout when it breaks the horizon; it simply arrives, steady and sure. God's love is expressed as light, and that light was inside you before you spoke a single word this morning.

You did not earn the dawn by praying correctly. You did not trigger the sunrise by finding the right plea.

The light speaks whether or not anyone is listening. The silence is not God turning away.

It is God breathing with you.
