The Light Does Not Need Your Excuse
The sun is just touching the horizon, and you are already rehearsing the excuse. Your hands shake under the desk, crafting a story about why you need to leave, why you cannot stay, why you are not enough for this moment.
But look at the light arriving outside your window. It does not ask for a reason to rise.
It does not apologize for taking up space. It simply is.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — and before the apology, before the speech, before the shame could even form a sentence — he ran. The light does not need your excuse.
It only needs your presence. You are not a fraud waiting to be exposed.
You are a child of the morning, hidden in plain sight. The trembling is not a sign that you are failing.
It is the vibration of the light trying to get out. Put the excuse down.
The day does not require your performance. It only requires you to show up as you are.
The sun rose without asking permission, and so can you.
