The Light Meets You in Hesitation
The sun is just breaking the horizon, painting the sky in colors that say the night is over, but your feet are still planted on the edge of something you cannot name. You are looking down at the water, or the road, or the silence, and you cannot tell if you want to step forward or step back.
That hesitation is not weakness. It is the quiet wisdom of a soul that knows the ground has shifted.
The light does not demand you jump before you are ready. It rises slowly, giving you time to see where you are standing.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. You do not have to cross the distance alone.
The light is already moving toward you, meeting you in the hesitation. You are not required to have the courage of the whole day right now.
Just the courage of this breath. The dawn is not asking you to fix everything.
It is simply inviting you to witness that the dark has lost its hold. You are safe here, even on the edge.
Especially on the edge.
