typing out a long message to explain your hurt, then deleting it word by word until the screen is blank again

The Dawn Breaks Without Your Permission

The sun is just beginning to touch the horizon, turning the gray sky into something soft and gold. You are sitting there with a screen full of words you typed in the dark, explaining exactly how much you hurt, only to delete them one by one until the cursor blinks alone again.

You wanted them to understand, but the morning light makes the explanation feel too heavy, too risky, too much like begging. So you put the phone down, and the silence rushes back in to fill the space where your truth used to be.

But notice this: the light did not disappear when you deleted the words. It rose anyway.

It is shining on the empty screen just as brightly as it would have shone on a sent message. God's love is not waiting for your explanation to arrive.

It is already here, filling the room, witnessing the courage it took to feel that much and then let it go. You do not have to speak to be seen.

The dawn breaks without your permission, and it breaks for you even when you have nothing left to say.
