The Light Sees Behind Your Mask
The morning light is harsh on the performance. You walk through the day wearing a face that says 'I am fine,' while inside you are unraveling.
Then you see it — your own unspoken terror reflected in someone else's eyes across the room. It is the same silence you carry, the same weight you cannot name.
And you look away. You cannot bear to witness their stillness because it forces you to feel your own.
But the light sees what you are trying to hide. It does not demand you speak before you are ready.
It simply sits with you in the gap between the mask and the truth. You do not have to hold the performance together for the light to love you.
The mask is heavy, but you were never meant to wear it forever.
