Put Down the Script Tonight
The sun is down, and the armor comes off, leaving you alone with the script you've rehearsed a hundred times. You know the question is coming at dinner: 'How is so-and-so?' And you know the silence that will follow your answer, or your lack of one.
You feel like a fraud, carrying a broken bond that the world still assumes is whole. But the light does not ask you to perform friendship for an audience.
It sees the quiet truth you are protecting. You came from the light, a place where names are known without explanation.
You do not need to justify why you stopped speaking to someone who no longer walks in that light with you. The silence is not a lie; it is the honest space where the truth lives.
Tonight, put down the script. You are allowed to let the relationship be what it is, even if it is empty.
The light that shines within you needs no defense.
