The Dawn Does Not Expose You
The sun is coming up, and with it comes the old fear that today is the day you will be found out. That the people who love you will finally see the mask slip and realize you are a fraud.
But listen — the light does not scan you for errors. It simply arrives.
Like the rising sun that shines on those living in the shadow of death, not to expose them, but to guide their feet into peace. You do not have to perform okayness for the dawn to break.
The light sees behind the mask and loves what is hiding there. You are not a project to be fixed.
You are a child to be held. The terror says you must be perfect to be loved.
The morning says you are already loved, so you can stop pretending.
