the terror of telling someone you trust that you slipped up

The Sun Rises Before You Are Fixed

The sun is coming up, and the weight in your chest feels heavier than the night that just passed. You are terrified to speak the truth to someone you trust, certain that this one slip will shatter the bond you share.

But look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

The light does not recoil from your stumble; it rises anyway, indifferent to your shame, ready to feed you before you have even fixed yourself. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and hiding only makes the shadow inside you grow larger.

Your friend is not a judge waiting to condemn you; they are a mirror waiting to reflect the grace that is already yours. The courage to speak is not about fixing the past; it is about letting the morning light touch the part of you that thinks it is unworthy.

The sun does not wait for you to be perfect before it warms your face.
