God hears your broken whisper
The sun has set, and the quiet of the evening feels heavy, like a held breath you are afraid to release. You sit in the silence, convinced that your inability to find the perfect words has caused the Light to turn away.
You believe God is waiting for a flawless prayer before He speaks again. But there was a man who stood far off, too ashamed to even lift his eyes to heaven, who could only beat his chest and whisper seven broken words.
He did not offer a perfect theology. He offered his need.
And the Light heard him over the polished speeches of the righteous. The silence you feel is not rejection; it is the space where your performance finally ends.
God is not waiting for your eloquence. He is waiting for your honesty.
