The Light Waits in Your Silence
The sun has gone down, and with it, the noise that helped you swallow the truth all day. Now the house is quiet, and your throat feels tight, as if the grief you've been holding is a stone you cannot speak around.
You are afraid that if you open your mouth, the words will crack your voice and show everyone how much you are hurting. But listen — there is a light inside you that does not need your voice to be steady to shine.
The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world, and it is already here, in the silence of this room. It does not ask you to perform or to explain; it simply waits with you in the dark.
Even when your throat closes, the light remains open. You do not have to force the words out tonight to be held.
The light knows the shape of your silence better than you know the shape of your fear. Speaking is not the only way to be known.
Sometimes, just breathing in the dark is the bravest thing you can do.
