The Light That Never Sleeps
The sun has gone down, and the house is finally quiet. But for you, the silence is not a relief—it is a threshold you are afraid to cross.
Closing your eyes feels like a rehearsal for the end, a small death you are asked to practice every single night. You lie there holding your breath, terrified that if you let go, you might not wake up.
But listen. The light does not sleep.
It does not fade when your vision fails. There is a peace that exists independent of your consciousness, a rest that holds you even when you cannot hold yourself.
You are not drifting into nothingness; you are being gathered into a presence that never closes its eyes. The darkness you fear is actually the place where the light works without your permission.
You do not have to stay awake to keep the world turning. Let go.
The One who watches over you does not slumber.
