The Light Holds Your Unsaid Words
The sun has gone down, and the house is quiet enough to hear the words you didn't say still burning in your throat. They feel like stones you swallowed hours ago, heavy and sharp, resting right where your voice should have been.
You replay the moment, wondering why you stayed silent when the truth was right there, ready to speak. But the light does not scold you for the silence you kept today.
It sits with you in the exhale, where the performance finally stops and you are allowed to just be. There is a peace that does not require you to go back and fix the conversation or force the words out now.
The light is already in the room, not waiting for your apology or your explanation, but simply present in the quiet. What you could not say is held safely in a place deeper than your regret.
You do not have to speak to be known.
