Put Down the Pen, You Are Held
The sun is dipping below the horizon, and with it comes the quiet urge to arrange your affairs one last time. You find yourself rehearsing final instructions in the dark, trying to spell out exactly what to do when you are gone, hoping to spare them the confusion of your absence.
It feels like love, this desperate drafting of a map for a journey they must take alone. But listen — the light does not leave you orphaned to figure it out by a scrap of paper.
It promises to come to them, just as it has come to you. You do not need to explain the path; the path is a Person who will meet them right where they stand.
Put down the pen. The One who holds you is already holding them.
