You Are Loved Beyond Your Performance
The sun has gone down, and now the house is quiet enough to hear the hum of your own fear. You are terrified that if you finally speak—if you let the mask slip and show the cracks—the people you love will turn and walk away.
They will see you were never actually holding it together, and they will leave you alone in the dark. But listen closely.
There was a man once who stood in the courtyard while the one he loved was being taken away. He was terrified.
He denied he even knew him. He fell apart completely in front of everyone.
And when the morning came, he was not abandoned. He was restored.
The light does not love you for your composure. It loves you because you are its own.
The people who truly belong to you will not leave when you stop performing. They will finally see you.
The darkness is gathering, yes. But it cannot hide what the light already knows.
