The Light Is Not A Reward
The sun has gone down, and in the quiet, the math begins. You count the years lost to this pain, subtracting them from the time you thought you'd have, and the answer feels like a verdict.
But the light does not live in your calculation of what is gone. It lives in the moment you are in right now.
There is light within you, and it lights up the whole world—not the world you planned, but the one you actually inhabit. You came from the light, and you return to it, regardless of how the timeline looks on paper.
The darkness cannot do the math you are trying to force it to do. Stop counting the cost of a future you cannot see.
The light is not a reward for surviving; it is the ground you are standing on tonight.
