The Pillar Is Allowed To Rest
The sun has gone down, and for the first time today, the performance is over. You are the one everyone leans on, the steady ground where others rest their weight.
But tonight, your own knees are shaking under the load you have carried in silence. There is a terrifying freedom in admitting that the pillar is tired.
Jesus knew this feeling when he asked his friends to keep watch, only to find them asleep while his soul was overwhelmed. He did not scold them for being weak; he simply asked them to stay.
You do not have to hold the world up by yourself. The light that has shone through you for years is not a demand to be strong; it is an invitation to be held.
Let your hands open. Let the armor fall.
You are allowed to be the one who is carried tonight.
