The Light Lives Beneath the Mask
The smile is still on your face, but inside, you are already staging the collapse. You are rehearsing the moment the praise turns to disappointment, playing the scene over and over until it feels like memory.
The darkness tries to convince you that the light you just received is a trick—that you are an impostor waiting to be found out. But listen: the Father sees what is done in secret, even the secret fear that you are not enough.
He knows the rehearsal running in your mind, and He does not condemn you for it. The light within you was there before the praise arrived, and it will remain long after the fear fades.
You are not your performance. You are the place where the light lives.
The mask is heavy, but the face beneath it is already loved.
