The Light Loves Who You Are
The smile feels like a lie when the door closes and the room goes quiet. You wear it so well that even you start to believe the performance is real.
But the light does not need your mask to see what is underneath. It sees the exhaustion behind the eyes, the grief you are holding so still.
There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, no shadow you carry that the light has not already entered. You do not have to perform okayness for the One who knows your name.
The peace I leave with you is not like the world's peace; it does not depend on your ability to hold it together. Put the face down.
Let the shoulders drop. The light loves the person behind the smile, not the smile itself.
