Held in the Pause Without Explanation
The screen glows with hundreds of names, yet the room feels utterly silent. You scroll past the faces of people who know your history, your job, your performance of being fine.
But there is no one you can call just to hear your own voice without having to explain why you are calling. The mask is heavy this morning — polished on the outside, hollow underneath.
You wonder if anyone would recognize the person behind the smile if the performance stopped. But listen — the light sees what the contact list cannot show.
It knows the silence between your words better than any friend ever could. You do not need to justify your presence to the One who formed you.
The Father is not waiting for an explanation. He is already listening to the sound of your breathing.
You are not alone in the quiet; you are held in the pause.
