You Do Not Have to Leave
The room is quiet now, save for the rhythm of their breathing. You watch the rise and fall, and in the shadows, you convince yourself that you must slip away before the morning light exposes who you really are.
But the light that sees you does not wait for a perfect version of yourself to arrive. It saw you clearly before you ever spoke a word.
There is a love that knows everything about you—the hidden parts, the fearful parts, the parts you think would make them turn away—and it does not flee. It stays.
You do not have to leave to be loved. You only have to remain.
