You Did Not Scare the Light Away
The room is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the replay. You are dissecting every sentence, convinced you said too much, certain they are already planning their exit.
But the light does not calculate risk the way you do. There was a moment when Jesus looked at a paralyzed man and saw not the awkwardness of the crowd, but the faith of the friends who carried him.
He simply said: take heart. Your vulnerability was not a mistake to be managed.
It was the very thing that made space for mercy. The eye is the lamp of the body — if your vision is clear, your whole self is full of light, not shadow.
Stop scanning the dark for threats that aren't there. The connection you fear you broke is held by something stronger than your perfect performance.
You did not scare the light away by being human. You invited it in.
