The Light Remains Unashamed Inside You
The room is quiet now, and the confession hangs in the air between you. You spoke the truth, hoping for a bridge, but all you found was pity in their eyes.
That look can feel heavier than the silence you broke to speak. It makes you wish you could take the words back, to retreat into the safety of the mask you wore before.
But listen — their pity is not the final verdict on your worth. It is only the limit of their own understanding.
The light that moved you to speak did not vanish when they looked away. It remains.
Unchanged. Unashamed.
You did not lose anything by being known. The darkness tries to convince you that vulnerability was a mistake, but the gathering night knows better.
The truth you brought into the open is already free, regardless of how it was received. You are not defined by the reflection in their eyes.
