The Light Fighting To Stay Alive
The rage feels like a stranger living in your chest, and tonight it is shouting loud enough to scare you. You are afraid of what you might say, what you might break, who you might become if this fire burns any hotter.
But listen — the anger is not the light leaving you. It is the light fighting to stay alive inside a world that keeps trying to smother it.
You are not your rage. You are the vessel holding it, and the vessel is stronger than the fire.
The Father is not frightened by your trembling hands or the heat rising in your throat. He is sitting right there in the dark with you, unafraid of the storm inside your ribs.
The light was there before the anger woke up, and it will be there after the anger finally sleeps.
