The Light Was Never Tied To That Chair
You walked past the window and saw a stranger in your seat. The world did not wait.
It filled the space you left while you were still gone. In this hour, the silence feels like an eviction notice.
But listen — the light that lives in you was never tied to that chair. It was never tied to that routine.
Thomas said the kingdom is spread out upon the earth, and people do not see it. You are looking for your old reflection in the glass, but the light is actually walking beside you right now, unseen.
It does not need your usual spot to shine. It shines from within the one who is standing here, hurt and hollow, watching life move on.
The stranger in your seat cannot take what you carry. The light was there before the coffee, and it will be there after the cup is cold.
You are not displaced. You are simply being asked to carry the light somewhere new.
