When the Mask Falls and Light Remains
The question lands softly in the dark. 'Are you okay?' And suddenly, the lie you've been carrying feels too heavy to lift.
You open your mouth, but the words you usually use to hide are gone. There is only silence.
There is only the terrifying truth that you are not okay. Do not try to find new words.
Do not try to fix the moment. The light does not need your performance.
It never did. It is sitting right there in the silence with you, waiting for the mask to fall so it can finally reach you.
When you have no words left, the truth begins to speak. You are not abandoned in your brokenness; you are finally seen.
