The Light Stays When Everyone Leaves
The phone buzzes in your pocket, or maybe it doesn't. You reach for it anyway, bracing for the message that says they saw too much and left.
The silence on the screen feels like a verdict. But the light does not scan your history for disqualifying evidence.
There was a woman once, caught in the act, surrounded by people ready to stone her for what everyone knew she had done. The light bent down, wrote in the dust, and when it stood up, it asked where her accusers went.
They were gone. And the only one left with the right to condemn her chose mercy instead.
He told her to go. Not to hide.
To go. Your fear says the light will leave when it sees the mess.
The truth is, the light stays when everyone else has walked away. The vibration you feel is not the departure.
It is the presence that refuses to let the shame have the final word.
