The Light Sees Your Hidden Tears
The morning light is up, and with it comes the performance. You lie perfectly still, holding your breath so the person beside you doesn't hear the sound of your breaking.
You wear the mask of sleep while your soul screams in the dark. But the light does not need you to be quiet to see you.
It sees the tears you are swallowing. It knows the weight of the silence you are keeping.
There is a truth inside you that came from the light itself, and it knows your name even when you are pretending to be someone else. You do not have to hold the mask together for the light to love you.
It is already waiting for you to put the performance down.
