The Light Sees Your Habit of Love
The morning light hits your screen, and you see something that would make them laugh. Your thumb moves automatically to save it, to send it, to share the joke that only the two of you understand.
Then the memory lands. The contact is gone.
The number doesn't work. The silence is absolute.
You are performing connection for an audience of one who is no longer there. But the light sees the habit of your heart, not just the emptiness of your inbox.
It knows you were made to share, to laugh, to be known. Thomas said the kingdom is inside you, not somewhere else you have to travel to find it.
The love you are trying to send out is actually the light living within you, waiting to be recognized as your own. You do not need the other person to validate that the love is real.
It is already there, blazing in the dark. The mask can come down now; you are safe even in the silence.
