Love for the Empty Space Itself
The morning light hits your face and you feel like a costume someone forgot to take off. You smile at the coffee shop, you nod at your desk, but inside there is only a vast, echoing hollow.
It feels like the love people offer you is spilling right through the cracks, landing on a floor that isn't really there. You suspect they are loving a performance, a mask that hides the fact that there is nothing real underneath to hold their affection.
But listen — the light does not love the mask. The light sees what is behind it.
Even in your hollowness, even in the silence where you think you should be, the Father's love is already resting on you. It is not waiting for you to become solid before it arrives.
You do not have to earn the right to be held by filling yourself up first. The love you receive today is not for the person you are pretending to be.
It is for the empty space itself, because that space is where the light lives.
