The Light Lives in the Crack
The mirror is cold at four in the morning. You are rehearsing a simple hello because you are terrified your voice will crack if you speak without a script.
You are trying to build a cage of words to keep the trembling inside. But the light does not need your performance.
It does not need your voice to be steady. It lives in the crack.
It lives in the silence between the rehearsed lines. There is a truth that lives in us and will be with us forever.
Not a truth you have to earn by speaking perfectly. A truth that simply resides there, beneath the panic.
You do not have to hold it together for the dawn to break. The light is already speaking through your trembling.
It was there before you started rehearsing. It will be there when the script fails.
