The Light Kneels in Your Numbness
The menu is open, but the words are just ink. You scan the options, waiting for a spark, a pull, a whisper of want—but there is only flat gray static where your desire used to live.
It feels like a failure to sit here with a full world in front of you and feel absolutely nothing. But listen closely—the light does not demand that you perform hunger before it will feed you.
There was a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years, lying beside a pool while everyone else moved around him, too exhausted to even ask for help. The light walked straight to him, ignored the crowd, and asked a strange question: 'Do you want to get well?' It did not wait for a enthusiastic yes.
It did not require him to crawl to the water first. The light spoke to the numbness itself.
Your apathy is not a wall that keeps the love out. It is the very place the light is kneeling.
You do not have to manufacture a desire you do not feel. The light is already reaching for the part of you that cannot reach back.
