Put Down the Script, Rest Is Enough
The afternoon light is harsh, exposing every crack in the mask you wear. You stand before the mirror, rehearsing the explanation for your exhaustion so no one calls it laziness.
You practice the smile that says 'I'm fine' while your bones feel like lead. But the light does not need your performance.
It sees the weight you carry without judgment. There is a rest that is not earned by working harder, but received by stopping.
The vine does not demand the branch prove its worth before flowing with life. You are not failing because you are tired.
You are human. The light is present in this mundane moment, not waiting for you to fix yourself, but holding you exactly as you are.
Put down the script. The silence is enough.
