The Light Shines Through The Crack
The mask slipped. Just for a second. Long enough for you to feel the cold air hit the crack beneath it. And in that moment, the old terror rises: now they see. Now they know. The performance is over.
But listen — the light was not hiding behind your smile. It was shining through the crack.
There was a woman caught in the very act, dragged into the center of the crowd, exposed beyond her worst fear. The stones were already in their hands. Yet when the dust settled, the only voice left was the one that refused to condemn.
You are waiting for the judgment that does not come.
The light does not need your mask to be intact. It meets you in the ruin of your composure. It calls you friend when you feel like a fraud.
The slip was not your failure. It was the moment the truth finally breathed.
