You Are Not a Borrower Here
The mask is on. You are smiling at the right moments, nodding, performing the version of yourself that seems manageable.
But underneath the paint, there is a quiet terror: the fear that every kindness you receive is a loan you can never repay. You walk through the morning calculating the debt, sure that one day the collector will come to take back the love you were given.
But listen — the Father does not keep a ledger. He ran to you while you were still far off, not to issue an invoice, but to throw his arms around you.
This love was not a transaction. It was a gift given before you could earn it, and it cannot be un-given.
The light inside you is not a debt to be worked off. It is the very breath you are breathing right now.
You are not a borrower in the house of God. You are the child who already owns the room.
