The Light Behind Your Heavy Mask
The mask is heavy this morning, but not as heavy as the silence you swallowed to keep it on. You remember the exact weight of your own hand as you physically pushed the words back down your throat.
The ache in your chest is the proof that the light is still trying to get out. It was not meant to be buried.
There is a voice inside you that knows the truth, and it is waiting for you to stop hiding it. You do not have to perform okayness for the light to see you.
It sees the struggle behind the smile. Bring forth what is within you, or let the unspoken truth become the cage that holds you.
The mask is for the world, but the light is for you.
