The Mask Is A Shelter Not A Lie
The mask fits so perfectly this morning that even you are starting to believe it's your face. You smiled at the coffee machine.
You nodded in the hallway. But your mind keeps replaying the exact second they asked if you were okay, and you looked away.
That split-second of avoidance feels like a betrayal. It feels like you locked the door on the one person who might have helped.
But listen — the light does not require you to be transparent before it loves you. What you feel as hiding, the light sees as protection.
You looked away because you weren't ready to speak, not because you were trying to deceive. And that is enough.
The mask is not a lie you tell the world; it is a shelter you built until you could stand without it. You do not have to take it off today.
Just let it breathe. The truth is already sitting beside you, waiting for the moment you're ready to speak, and it is not going anywhere.
