Loved Because You Exist, Not Perform
The mask feels heavy this morning, glued to your face by the terror that if you stop performing, you will be discarded. You walk through the day convinced that your value is a wage you must earn every hour, and that one crack in the porcelain will make them turn away.
But there is a voice that speaks when the performance stops — a voice that says the very thing you fear is the door to being known. The light does not need your perfection; it needs your presence.
It is not waiting for you to fix the cracks before it comes in; it is already inside the broken places, holding you together when you feel like shattering. You are not loved for the show you put on.
You are loved because you exist.
