The Light Sees Through Your Mask
The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You are terrified that if you stop moving, stop smiling, stop performing the version of yourself that everyone expects, the whole thing will collapse.
You believe they love the act, not the actor. But listen — the light does not need your performance to see you.
It sees through the costume. It saw the exhaustion behind Peter's eyes when he denied everything he believed, and it did not walk away.
It built a fire on the beach and asked him only one thing: do you love me? Not 'are you perfect?' Not 'did you get it right?' Just love.
The mask is a burden you were never meant to carry. The light is not afraid of your fatigue.
It is waiting for you to put the heavy thing down and just be there. You are not a fraud who might be found out.
You are a child who is already known.
