Laughter Does Not Erase Love
The laugh escaped before you could stop it, and now the silence feels like a betrayal. You are afraid that joy means you have forgotten the one you lost.
But the light does not measure your loyalty by the volume of your grief. You came from the light, the place where light generates itself on its own accord — and that light includes the capacity to breathe again.
The darkness has not overcome the life within you, even when that life looks like a sudden, loud smile. To laugh is not to erase; it is to remember that you are still here, carrying them with you.
The love remains, whether you are weeping or whether you are whole.
