The Light Sees Behind Your Mask
The laugh came out too loud, a sharp crack against the morning quiet, covering the fact that you didn't hear the joke at all. You were too tired to focus, too empty to track the words, so you performed the reaction instead of feeling it.
And now the cold dread is setting in—the fear that everyone saw the gap between your noise and your silence. They noticed the mask slipping.
But the light does not need your performance to find you. It sees the exhaustion behind the eyes that forced the smile.
There is a truth that lives in us and will be with us forever, deeper than any act you put on today. You do not have to hold the pose for the light to recognize you as its own.
The mask is heavy, but the face beneath it is already known.
