Light With Nowhere To Go
The joke forms in your mind, perfect and small, but your thumb hovers over a name that is no longer there. The silence in the room grows heavy as the screen goes dark.
You are holding a piece of light that has nowhere to go, and it feels like it might burn you from the inside. But the light was never meant to be trapped in a message or dependent on a recipient.
It is already shining, even in the empty space where a connection used to be. You do not need to send it for it to be real.
The gathering dark cannot extinguish what you are carrying.
