The Love Returns to Fill You
The joke forms in your mind, sharp and ready, but your thumb hovers over a name that is no longer there. In the middle of the morning rush, while everyone else is performing okayness, you are standing still in a sudden, quiet void.
You feel like a ghost in a crowded room, holding a gift with no one to give it to. But listen — the light does not vanish just because the recipient is gone.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world even when the room is silent. You came from the light, and that origin remains untouched by the empty space beside you.
The joke was real. The love that made you want to share it is real.
And that love is not stranded; it has nowhere else to go but back into you, filling the hollow place until you realize you are still here, still glowing, still capable of joy even in the silence.
