Held When Words Fail You
The house is quiet now. The words you swallowed are sitting in your throat like a stone, heavy and cold.
You replay the moment the conversation ended, wishing you could reach back and pull the apology out into the light. But the hour is dark, and the silence feels like a verdict.
Yet in this deepest part of the night, where even your own heartbeat sounds loud, there is a presence that does not need your speech to know your heart. The light that lives inside you was there before the argument started, and it remains there now, untouched by the things left unsaid.
It does not wait for you to fix the past before it stays. It simply sits with you in the ache, holding the weight you cannot lift.
You are not defined by the words you failed to speak. You are held by the Love that speaks your name even when you are silent.
