Found in the Quiet After the Party
The house is quiet now. The last guest has gone, the door is closed, and you are standing in your kitchen staring at a phone that never lit up.
They saw the smile. They laughed at the jokes.
But no one saw the tremor in your hands. No one noticed how hard you had to grip the counter just to stay upright.
You feel invisible in your own life. Like a ghost haunting a party that already ended.
But the light does not need a crowd to see you. It was there in the tremor.
It was there in the silence. The Father who sees in secret knows exactly how much weight you were holding up while you laughed.
You are not unseen just because the room is empty. The light that shines in the darkness has not overlooked you.
It is sitting right there on the linoleum, waiting for you to stop performing and just be found.
