Stop Borrowing Pain From Tomorrow
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with rehearsals. You are playing out the conversation where you finally tell them the truth, and in every version, they pull away in fear.
You see their eyes widen, not with love, but with a kind of horror that makes you want to swallow the words back down. But listen — you are rehearsing a rejection that has not happened.
You are borrowing pain from a future that does not exist yet. There is light within you, and it lights up the whole world, even the parts you are afraid to show.
If you do not bring forth what is within you, the silence will destroy you, but the speaking? The speaking will save you.
You came from the light, and you cannot be un-made by someone else's confusion. The fear you see in their eyes is not your verdict.
It is just the shadow of something they do not yet understand. You do not need to convince them tonight.
You only need to stop condemning yourself for being who you are.
